How Do You Make Your Daily Mode Of Operation Plan In Your Home Business?


Having a daily plan or a daily mode of operation is super incredibly important! Without it you will get nothing done at all in your home business. You may get lost and you may give up!

This is true and I have seen it happen over and over again.

This happens to at least 95 % of all starting their own business and the reason is that no one is telling you what to do.

You don’t have a boss lining out your tasks and projects.

You don’t have a manager handing you a daily or weekly schedule.

YOU are your own boss and your own manager and as fantastic and ideal this may sound for many it’s the perfect recipe for failure.

When people starts out as self employed they often forget that this is a business like anything else and you need a plan and you need a schedule so you always know WHAT to do and WHEN to do it.

This is CRUCIAL to your success.

So let’s break this down into a nice recipe for making your own weekly schedule with a daily mode of operation for each day of the week.

It doesn’t matter what business you are in. There are 3 core steps you must do to build your business long term:


1.It’s growing your audience or target market and growing your email list.

2.It’s engaging your audience and list with valuable, mostly free content.

3.And it’s ultimately selling to your list, that keeps you in business.


So your daily mode of operation could easily look like this.

One third of the day you put your effort into growing your audience and your list by expanding your friends and following.

Could be mornings and they could look like this : growing your audience + your list by following 50 people, getting new friends, networking on social media platforms and building your email list.

Another third goes into engaging your list with content, such as blog posts, videos, inspirational post, emails and so on. The daily routine could be Engaging you audience and email list  by writing 1 piece of content, post it everywhere and send it to your email list.

Comment and like on friends and followers posts. Post 2-5 times on your timeline (your content, video, newsletter, etc). Make a video and post it everywhere.

And the last third is dedicated to “selling” through your email campaigns, webinars, conversations.

Selling at THIS state is simply to get people to ACT. An action could be to get on a call, join your webinar or free training session, read your newsletter, etc. THAT is selling.

You can “sell” to your audience + your email list by sending out emails offering help.

Invite your list and audience to calls with you, a Q&A hang-out, a webinar. And by selling I don’t mean you start pitching them.

No, in the beginning you ask questions and find out what kind of help they need and IF they need help at all – maybe they just want to chat and get to know YOU better.

So, when you design your daily mode of operation, which you absolutely SHOULD, keep your 3 main activities in mind all the time. You don’t HAVE to divide you day into 3 equal parts with one activity in each.

It could be that you have to spend 50% of your time to grow your list OR to engage with people.

Or you could divide your week into sections. 2 days for list building and expanding your audience, 2 days for engagement and 2 days for “selling” and preparing campaigns.

Whatever you do, make it really simple and easy in the beginning to avoid overwhelm.

No reason to make it complicated at all. It’s all about expanding your network and audience, being visible engaging  them standing out as someone they can trust.

Ultimately SOME of them will buy what you have to offer.
