Grow your Audience Or Don’t Grow Your Biz At All!


I don’t know about you, but I heard over and over again HOW important it is to grow your audience. And I didn’t really get it.. not until I started using social media the right way to grow my biz.

So, if you don’t really know what they mean when they say grow your audience or what an audience is for that matter and why it is SO important to your business growth, continue reading.

Your “audience” is every single person you have had a connection with, a relation to, also briefly. Anyone you have been acquainted with in any way any given time, since you started your business – and even before that.

So, growing your audience is basically growing your your circle of acquaintances, friends, followers and fanbase on social media. That simple!

On facebook you are allowed to have around 5000 friends and unlimited followers. Like it or not, Facebook is a great to get started.

On other platforms we count followers and connections as your audience and I believe the amount is unlimited as well.

So, growing your social media accounts continuously is a way to grow a HUGE audience, both locally and globally and as you might have guessed by now, it’s a MUST.

Why is it so important then?

Well, first of all, having the same old 200 friends or followers is not going to help your business at all. You can’t talk the same people again and again trying to sell them the same thing over and over again. Eventually, they’ll get tired of you and you’ll have nowhere to go next.

Exposing your product to 3 persons and then sit around waiting for them to take action is not the way to run a successful business. You’ll end up shutting down very quickly.

Because, as your audience grows your prospect to expanding your business grows too. The larger your audience, the larger your business has the possibility to grow. The more people that sees you and get exposed to you, the better are your chances of breaking through.

And it’s not enough to do it once in a while or when you feel you are losing territory. Because then it’s too late!

No, you MUST grow on a daily basis. Yes, every single day!

You want to GROW that audience of yours, not just maintaining what you have. People move on, circle around, lose interest, start following someone else, all sorts of stuff happens all the time.

If you rely on a few you’ll end up losing the game.

Secondly, if you want the RIGHT people to FIND you, you must be out there making friends and connections all the time or you’ll  disappear in a sea of vague voices – it would be like staying indoors, not talking to anyone and expecting the dream job coming your way.

A friend of mine had a huge audience and therefore stopped making new connections daily growing his audience.  What happened was that slowly people dropped out, went somewhere else and found someone more interesting to follow.

Eventually, he had to start all over from scratch again. Just because he didn’t continue to grow his audience!

Because, the real secret here is that the way you grow your audience is by providing value and the moment you stop that….. well, everything stops!
